SCHOLARSHIPS

The Abell-Hanger Foundation awards the following scholarships:

James I. Trott Opportunity Scholarship -  This highly selective scholarship is for outstanding high school seniors graduating from Crane, Fort Stockton, and Buena Vista Independent School Districts. The recipient must be planning to pursue a bachelor's degree at a public college or university in Texas.

Herbert L. Cartwright Education Continuance Scholarship - This competitive scholarship is awarded to outstanding Legacy Fellows graduating from Midland College and planning to pursue their bachelor's degree at a public university in Texas. Preference is given to students transferring universities in West Texas (UTPB, Angelo State, Texas Tech, Sul Ross, & West Texas A&M) and pursuing a degree in education (intending to teach), engineering, nursing, or other medical fields.

These scholarships are limited to students graduating from the specific schools named above; therefore, the applicant must obtain an application access code before applying.  Eligible applicants can receive the access code for the Trott Scholarship from your high school counselor.  You can obtain the access code for the Cartwright Scholarship from the Director of the Legacy Scholars Program at Midland College.
